Accountant – Device Rental Financial Reporting

About the role

The Accountant will own the reporting, reconciliations and financial oversight of the cellular device rental product, a strategic revenue stream for the group. You will ensure compliance with IFRS standards, manage tax implications and provide accurate financial information to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports at divisional and group level for the rental product.
• Perform monthly reconciliations, variance analysis against budget and prior periods, and investigate deviations.
• Calculate provisions for bad debts and conduct scenario analysis for ongoing revenue.
• Support the preparation of management dashboards, exco packs, and presentations for senior leadership.
• Develop annual budgets, periodic forecasts and update projections based on performance trends.
• Liaise with finance teams across the TFG group and ensure alignment of P&L components.

Required profile

• B.Com or equivalent; CA(SA) qualification preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including 1‑2 years post‑articles experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS standards, tax implications and financial accounting processes.
• Proven ability to work with budgets, forecasts and financial reporting in a fast‑paced environment.
