Stores Leader (Warehousing Manager)

About the role

The Stores Leader will oversee all warehousing activities at Mondelēz International’s Port Elizabeth site, ensuring safe, cost‑effective, and compliant handling of finished goods. This role bridges manufacturing and distribution, driving performance, accuracy and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Execute warehouse operations in line with service, cost, health & safety, quality, food‑defence, sustainability and legal requirements.
• Manage inventory processes including iDoc handling, stock reconciliation, track‑and‑trace and claims management.
• Ensure alignment of stock data between SAP and the warehouse management system, analysing discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
• Monitor capacity utilisation, KPI performance and introduce measures to meet targets and optimise space.
• Coordinate with third‑party logistics providers to guarantee punctual and complete deliveries while adhering to HACCP and quality standards.
• Oversee inbound, outbound, co‑packing and distribution activities, focusing on shelf‑life monitoring and write‑off reduction.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects, tender support and peak‑period management.
• Prepare full‑cost analyses, budgets, risk assessments and identify opportunities for cost savings.

Required profile

• Strong desire to drive personal and organisational growth.
• Experience with Microsoft applications, especially advanced Excel.
• Background in logistics, procurement or broader supply‑chain functions.
• Analytical thinking with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
• Good knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP R/3.
• Team‑oriented mindset and ability to work with internal and external partners.
