General Assistant – Retail Business Unit

About the role

We are looking for a proactive General Assistant to support the day‑to‑day operations of our BUCO retail business unit in Montague Gardens. The role involves a mix of customer‑facing and back‑of‑house tasks, ensuring that orders are processed smoothly, vehicles are handled safely and the work environment remains clean and organised.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customers with their orders and assist with enquiries.
• Load and unload vehicles, ensuring safe handling of goods.
• Manage pack‑yard stock items, including inventory checks and placement.
• Clean, maintain and safeguard vehicles and wash‑bay areas.
• Support suppliers and internal teams with logistical needs.
• Uphold company values and promote a positive culture.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
• Strong product knowledge relevant to the retail unit.
• Ability to work in any area of the business unit and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Good customer service orientation.
