Restaurant Manager – Upmarket New Venue in The Glen

About the role

We are launching a modern, up‑market restaurant and bar in The Glen, Johannesburg, and need three experienced managers to lead the operation. You will oversee both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house activities, ensuring a seamless guest experience from opening to closing.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily restaurant operations, including service, kitchen coordination, and staff scheduling.
• Handle cash‑up reconciliation, stock control, and inventory ordering.
• Execute opening and closing procedures consistently and accurately.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to maintain high service standards.
• Maintain strong customer relations and resolve issues promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of restaurant management experience.
• Fluent spoken English and excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
• Strong references and a solid employment history.
• Passionate, energetic, and driven with a focus on quality.
