Learning and Development Manager

About the role

The Learning and Development Manager will shape and execute a multi‑year L&D strategy that aligns with organisational goals and workforce planning. Working closely with business leaders, you will identify capability gaps, design impactful training programmes, and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct learning and skills needs analyses in partnership with business leaders.
• Translate analysis outcomes into relevant, sustainable training initiatives.
• Design, source, and deliver soft‑skills, leadership, and talent development programmes.
• Oversee scheduling, facilitation, and delivery of learning activities to minimise operational disruption.
• Manage L&D budgets, ensuring cost‑effectiveness and ROI.
• Establish and monitor learning metrics; produce reports for leadership with recommendations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the internal L&D team.
• Maintain the Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure content relevance and accessibility.
• Collaborate with external training providers and manage contracts.
• Promote innovative learning technologies, including AI‑driven and blended solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading L&D functions and managing cross‑functional projects.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to turn data into actionable learning solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to foster a collaborative, high‑performance culture.

Required skills
