About the role
The City Hospital is seeking Enrolled Nurses to work in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). The role involves delivering age‑appropriate patient care in line with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) scope of practice. The position is full‑time and based on‑site at the hospital, offering the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team delivering critical care.
Key responsibilities
- Provide safe, quality patient care within the SICU, adhering to hospital policies and SANC legislation.
- Attend to patient care on the ward, responding promptly to patients’ complaints and clinical needs.
- Maintain competence with hospital regulations and ensure compliance with stakeholder requirements.
- Comply with SANC and stakeholder legislation.
Required profile
- Registered Enrolled Nurse qualified to practice under the SANC scope of practice.
- Demonstrated ability to work within hospital policies, regulations and stakeholder legislation.
- Attend to patient care within the ward and respond to patient complaints.
