About the role
As part of our Engine Team, Assistant Plumbers ensure the vessel’s potable, technical, grey‑ and black‑water systems operate smoothly. Working across guest, crew and technical areas, no two days are the same on this dynamic shipboard role.
Key responsibilities
- Under supervision of the Chief Plumber, maintain and upkeep potable, technical, grey‑ and black‑water systems.
- Clean, maintain and repair ancillary components such as pumps, ejectors and level switches of black‑water tanks.
- Maintain and repair grey‑water tanks and black‑water treatment plant ancillaries.
- Respond to intervention calls from guest and crew areas.
- Perform on‑call duties according to department schedule.
- Participate in all safety drills and training.
- Adhere to environmental procedures and policies.
Required profile
- Minimum 24 months experience as a plumber.
- GRADE 12 qualification.
- South African passport.
