About the role
As a Service Team Leader at Meijer, you will oversee daily store operations, mentor team members, and ensure exceptional customer service while driving sales and maintaining store standards.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and supervise team members across various store departments.
- Mentor and coach staff, fostering career development and succession planning.
- Implement strategies to improve customer service, increase sales, and control shrink.
- Manage staffing, hiring, and scheduling to meet operational needs.
- Handle P&L responsibilities, achieving sales targets and maintaining financial performance.
- Enforce company standards for store appearance, product presentation, and safety.
- Apply disciplinary actions and make recommendations regarding employee termination.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2‑3 years of retail experience.
- At least 1 year of management experience.
- Ability to communicate clear directions and resolve conflicts.
- Strong multitasking and decision‑making skills, including financial analysis.
