About the role
We are seeking a commercially‑minded Senior Procurement Category Manager to shape and execute category strategy across a fast‑moving, complex organisation. Reporting to senior leadership, you will bridge strategy, commercial decision‑making and stakeholder partnership while leading a team of procurement specialists.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement end‑to‑end category management frameworks that can be rolled out organisation‑wide.
- Analyse purchasing behaviour and develop commercial strategies that optimise cost, value and supplier performance.
- Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing team of senior procurement and category specialists.
- Own selected categories, handling negotiation, sourcing and supplier management, and act as escalation point for complex commercial decisions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders such as marketing, finance and support functions to deliver client‑centric solutions.
Required profile
- 8+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing or commercial roles, with proven category management experience.
- Strong leadership, influencing and collaboration skills.
- Ability to develop business cases, presentations and stakeholder communications.
- Clear criminal and credit record.
Required skills
- SAP or other ERP systems.
- E‑sourcing platforms.
- Request for quotation (RFQ) tools.
- Project management tools.
