Senior Java Developer – Backend & FinTech

About the role

Amidel is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join its consulting team and work with a payment technology group at a leading financial institution. The role focuses on building and maintaining a high‑performance, scalable remittance engine using modern Java frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services with Java, using Spring Boot or Quarkus.
• Create efficient, well‑documented code for enterprise‑grade applications.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and deploy to containerised environments such as Kubernetes.
• Implement integrations via REST, SOAP, MQ, Kafka or file‑based mechanisms.
• Monitor system reliability and performance using Grafana, New Relic, ELK or Splunk.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Java development experience (Spring Boot/Quarkus).
• 3+ years on enterprise IT projects and at least 2 years of DevOps/integration exposure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication abilities.
