Project Manager – European Fulfillment Network Expansion

About the role

Amazon is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the expansion of its European fulfillment network. The role involves overseeing the launch of new fulfillment centers across Germany, the UK or Poland, coordinating internal and external resources, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple material flow and installation schedules across interdependent vendors.
• Manage overall project budget, approve purchase orders and invoices.
• Develop comprehensive budgets during project conception and monitor financial performance.
• Plan, direct, supervise and control all business, technical, fiscal and administrative functions of assigned projects.
• Lead and mentor project resources, including engineers and specialists, while coordinating schedules with multiple vendors.
• Act as Amazon’s representative with vendors and suppliers throughout project execution.
• Mobilise company resources and liaise with support departments to build effective project teams.
• Monitor and report progress against milestones, escalating issues that affect cost or schedule.
• Ensure compliance with Amazon and vendor safety policies.
• Oversee overall project schedule to achieve successful Go‑Live milestones.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large, complex projects with ambitious timelines.
• Strong ability to lead, mentor and coordinate cross‑functional teams and multiple vendors.
• Comfortable interfacing with stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 % of the time within EMEA.
• Experience in a distribution environment and familiarity with material handling equipment such as pallet racking, conveyors and fork trucks.
• Based in Germany, the United Kingdom or Poland.
