Marketing Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented, eager‑to‑learn Marketing Assistant to support day‑to‑day marketing activities across multiple channels. This entry‑level position is ideal for someone starting out in marketing who enjoys a variety of tasks, is comfortable using digital tools, and wants hands‑on experience in campaign support, content coordination, social media, and marketing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft social media captions, schedule posts, and monitor engagement.
• Research and maintain influencer lists, support campaign coordination and content rollout.
• Format and upload customer and host newsletters; compile internal newsletter content.
• Upload blog posts via WordPress, maintain the Host Resource Centre, and manage creative assets.
• Monitor live campaigns, flag issues, perform basic checks, log bugs, and conduct image scoring and content quality checks.

Required profile

• Relevant diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Little to no formal experience; fluency in Afrikaans and English.
• Strong attention to detail and clear short‑form written communication.
• Organised, able to manage multiple small tasks simultaneously.
• Comfortable with digital tools, quick to learn new systems, and willing to take initiative.
• Interest in travel, digital marketing, and content creation.
