Logistics Coordinator – FMCG Manufacturing

About the role

Join a leading South African FMCG company as a Logistics Coordinator, supporting the production of popular coffee and creamer brands. You will act as the vital link between Production and Stores, ensuring material flow and inventory accuracy in a fast‑paced factory environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with store supervisors to guarantee material availability for production.
• Record incoming material, transfers, returns and manage any issues in real time.
• Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures for storage control.
• Conduct daily cycle counts, generate stock count and variance reports, and perform monthly age analysis.
• Implement proper stock rotation and manage allergen control in storage areas.
• Identify and address bottlenecks, optimise space efficiency, and report constraints in daily meetings.
• Oversee forklift operations, driver scheduling, and health & safety compliance.
• Manage timesheets, absenteeism, and temporary labour requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Factory Logistics Coordinator or Distribution Center Supervisor in manufacturing or FMCG.
• Ability to work shift patterns and attend weekly production planning meetings.
• Strong analytical skills to assess capacity constraints and stock variances.
