Warehouse Checker/Picker

About the role

The Warehouse Checker/Picker ensures that all parts received from local and import suppliers are accurately inspected, labelled, and stored. The role supports timely order fulfillment for dealers and maintains high standards of inventory accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, label, and route parts to the appropriate drop‑zone, ensuring they are damage‑free.
• Complete Airfreight, Backorder and VOR tasks within four hours of receipt.
• Plan storage for new parts, taking measurements to optimise space.
• Bin parts following FIFO principles and achieve 98.5% bin‑face accuracy.
• Release dealer orders on schedule and pick rush/stock orders as required.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks.
• Conduct physical bin checks, process dealer returns, and follow claims adjudication procedures.
• Participate in daily start‑up meetings and maintain the 5S workplace standard.

Required profile

• National Diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics or related field (preferred).
• Matric with Mathematics and English.
• Valid forklift driver’s licence (advantageous).
• 2‑3 years of experience in an automotive warehouse environment.
