Layup Technician

About the role

The company based in Randburg is seeking a Layup Technician to join its production team. You will be responsible for preparing moulds, laying up carbon‑fiber materials and executing vacuum‑bagging processes to produce high‑quality composite components.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and clean moulds to ensure they are in optimal condition before each lay‑up.
• Lay up carbon‑fiber plies according to detailed instruction documents.
• Perform precise ply placement and execute vacuum‑bagging procedures.
• Follow all safety and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and continuously improve processes.

Required profile

• Previous hands‑on experience working with composite materials.
• Strong attention to detail, especially for ply alignment and bagging quality.
• Ability to learn quickly and work effectively within a team environment.
