Area Manager – Contract & Deep Cleaning

About the role

FibreClean is seeking an Area Manager to oversee contract cleaning sites and specialised deep‑clean projects across Randburg and the greater Johannesburg area. The role combines day‑to‑day operational leadership with hands‑on execution of large‑scale cleaning assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of a portfolio of contract cleaning sites within the designated area.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver one‑off deep‑clean jobs and large‑scale specialised cleaning projects.
• Work closely with site supervisors to allocate crews, equipment and resources.
• Ensure all projects are completed on time, to quality standards and within client expectations.
• Travel between sites regularly, maintaining a visible presence on the ground.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in operations, supervisory or coordination roles within cleaning, facilities management, hospitality, security or similar site‑based services.
• Valid driver’s licence (own transport is an advantage).
• Ability to manage people and juggle multiple sites or projects simultaneously.
• Practical, get‑it‑done attitude with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends when projects demand.
• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.

Required skills

• Knowledge of industrial or specialised cleaning methods (e.g., post‑construction, high‑access deep cleaning).
• Familiarity with health & safety compliance in a services or industrial environment.
