Kitchen Manager & Head Chef

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager and Head Chef to oversee all aspects of its fast‑paced central production kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficient food production, consistent product quality, food‑safety compliance, staff leadership, stock management, cost control and the timely fulfilment of operational and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and oversee daily food production.
• Ensure products are prepared according to approved recipes, specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor production volumes, deadlines and order accuracy while minimising waste.
• Conduct quality checks on ingredients, finished products, packaging and presentation.
• Maintain full compliance with food‑safety, hygiene and health‑and‑safety requirements.
• Lead, train, supervise and motivate kitchen and production employees.
• Manage employee productivity, performance and disciplinary matters.
• Manage inventory, stock rotation and FIFO processes.
• Coordinate supplier orders and procurement requirements.
• Monitor waste, production efficiency and stock‑related costs.
