About the role
The IT Technician will ensure that all IT systems and equipment are available for users to perform their daily duties. The role includes managing the helpdesk, maintaining server and application availability, and performing proactive checks to minimise downtime.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure IT systems and equipment are available to all users.
- Manage the IT helpdesk and resolve tickets within SLA.
- Prevent recurring faults and set up desktops/laptops with required applications.
- Manage server and application availability to achieve 99.9% system accessibility.
- Perform proactive daily checks and routine maintenance to prevent downtime.
- Attend meetings with support and management teams to discuss requirements.
- Monitor and manage infrastructure and supplier performance.
- Handle escalations for unresolved IT failures.
- Share knowledge and develop team skills.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
