Senior IT Technician

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior IT Technician to take ownership of complex, escalated technical challenges across network, server and end‑user environments. The role involves hands‑on problem solving, root‑cause analysis and delivering permanent solutions while supporting a distributed user base.

Key responsibilities

• Train and support users on IT systems and maintain daily operational checklists.
• Maintain mail infrastructure (Postfix, Sendmail, Exim) including antispam/antivirus policies, DNSBL configuration and SMTP troubleshooting.
• Configure and administer Fortinet firewalls (policies, VPN, security profiles, HA) and Mikrotik routing devices.
• Deploy, troubleshoot and monitor wireless networks and IP‑camera/CCTV infrastructure.
• Provide advanced technical support for critical desktop and server issues and manage Service Desk ticket queues to meet SLA targets.
• Create, deploy and administer Windows Server environments (2016‑2025) – DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policy, and forest/domain management.
• Design, configure and maintain Hyper‑V virtualization infrastructure, including host setup, guest provisioning and migrations.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on recurring incidents and implement permanent fixes.
• Travel to remote sites for installations, maintenance and capacity/performance monitoring.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of professional IT experience with a proven record of resolving escalated issues.
• At least 8 years of experience designing, implementing and maintaining corporate LAN/WAN environments.
• Strong analytical mindset, able to work independently and collaboratively on high‑impact problems.
• Excellent documentation skills and ability to produce knowledge‑base procedures.
