HR Officer – Employee Relations & Administration

About the role

The HR Officer will support the organisation by managing employee relations, administering HR processes, and assisting with recruitment and termination activities. This role ensures compliance with policies, provides guidance to line managers, and contributes to a positive workplace environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate disciplinary and grievance procedures, chair hearings and present fair outcomes.
• Monitor policy adherence, update disciplinary records and prepare employee relations reports.
• Administer leave planning, monitor sick and family responsibility leave compliance, and manage staff loan applications.
• Oversee uniform ordering, cleaning and issuance, and administer injury‑on‑duty claims.
• Prepare and submit HR reports, assist payroll with time calculations, and support recruitment processes including screening, interviewing and paperwork.
• Administer employee terminations and provide counselling on personal and work‑related matters.
• Ensure accurate implementation of employee benefits, address benefit queries and support payroll related to benefits.

Required profile

• Experience coordinating disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• Ability to support and advise line managers on HR policies.
• Familiarity with leave administration, payroll assistance and HR reporting.
• Strong organisational skills for managing recruitment, termination and benefits processes.
