Health and Safety Controller

About the role

The Health and Safety Controller will join Coca-Cola Beverages Africa’s Midrand team, reporting to the Health & Safety Manager. This position is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment across the site and supporting continuous improvement of safety performance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor health and safety compliance and conduct regular workplace risk identification.
• Perform safety inspections, audits and support incident reporting and investigations.
• Coordinate safety training programmes for employees and contractors.
• Manage contractor safety compliance and ensure adherence to regulatory and KORE standards.
• Record safety data, generate KPI reports and support emergency response activities.
• Drive continuous safety improvement initiatives across the site.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of safety legislation and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical and investigative skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
