Senior Security Manager

About the role

Sasol is seeking a Senior Security Manager to lead multi‑disciplined security teams for its Secunda Operations, mines and owned residential properties. The role combines strategic direction, operational oversight and continuous improvement of security services across surface and underground environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the security services strategy and operating model.
• Provide and manage security services in line with the agreed service catalogue for all Sasol OME locations.
• Consult on new projects, developments and changes to existing work practices to ensure security compliance.
• Control permit‑system services, investigations, technical and specialized security services, access control, control‑room and electronic access solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement through benchmarking and process optimisation.
• Document critical processes and report according to Sasol governance standards.
• Identify and implement road‑safety operations and security system designs.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage and motivate multi‑disciplinary security teams.
• Strategic thinking with experience delivering results across diverse functional areas.
• Strong coordination skills to optimise resource utilisation and cost management.
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory security requirements in South Africa.
• Analytical capability to interpret and adapt to changing operating environments.
