Head of PGRE – South Africa

About the role

PepsiCo South Africa is seeking a senior leader to head the PGRE function across the country. The role will shape the strategic direction for office, R&D, food and beverage facilities, ensuring alignment with the regional pipeline and PepsiCo’s sustainability agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a 3‑5 year vision and strategy for the PGRE portfolio in South Africa.
• Manage a pipeline of over 30 initiatives annually, covering approximately 12.6 million sq ft and $15 million in spend.
• Lead strategy, lease, transaction, project and facilities management for offices, R&D sites and production assets.
• Collaborate with international stakeholders, regional partners (e.g., C&W, Colliers) and local business units.
• Create and maintain processes, procedures, KPIs and executive dashboards to provide transparent project governance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in real‑estate, facilities or project management at a senior level.
• Strong track record of developing and executing multi‑year strategic plans.
• Ability to influence and build relationships with senior leaders and external partners.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to executives and cross‑functional teams.
