Group Consolidation & Tax Accountant (CA(SA))

About the role

A leading South African group is seeking a technically strong Group Consolidation & Tax Accountant to join its Group Finance team in Cape Town. This permanent position is ideal for a CA(SA) with 3–5 years post‑articles experience in group consolidations, IFRS reporting, statutory reporting and tax.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare group reporting packs, consolidations, reconciliations and statutory financial statements, and support audits.
• Interpret IFRS standards, draft technical accounting papers and advise on complex transactions and group accounting policies.
• Review tax calculations and returns, handle SARS queries, manage transfer pricing and ensure group tax compliance.
• Support group budgets and forecasts, maintain reporting systems, improve automation and assist with integration of newly acquired entities.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification (essential) with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3–5 years post‑articles experience, preferably in a listed company or large corporate group.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience with group consolidations and statutory reporting.
• Exposure to tax administration, transfer pricing and complex inter‑company structures.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical, problem‑solving abilities.

What we offer

• Annual salary between R 1,100,000 and R 1,200,000.
