About the role
We are looking for experienced Fresh Foods Managers to oversee the deli, bakery and fruit & vegetable departments across our stores in Durban and Pietermaritzburg. The role includes responsibility for profit, standards, staff development and new product development across all fresh food sections. The successful candidate will have previous experience managing service departments at a regional or divisional level within a supermarket group.
Key responsibilities
- Drive profitability for all deli, bakery and fruit & vegetable sections in every store within the division.
- Maintain and improve standards and product ranges for deli, bakery and fruit & vegetable departments across the division.
- Train and develop staff in all fresh‑food areas to achieve performance and quality targets.
- Lead new product development for deli, bakery and fruit & vegetable categories.
