Financial Adviser – Oudtshoorn

About the role

The Financial Adviser will provide new and existing clients with professional financial advice, planning and suitable product solutions. The role focuses on building long‑term relationships, generating sustainable business and ensuring all activities are compliant and ethical.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored financial advice, planning and product sales to meet client needs.
• Acquire and grow high‑quality, sustainable business in line with revenue and activity targets.
• Maintain and service client portfolios, fostering loyalty to the Sanlam brand.
• Network, prospect and generate leads through face‑to‑face interactions, social media and business networks.
• Conduct comprehensive fact‑finding, financial needs analysis and present balanced portfolio solutions.
• Ensure all client interactions comply with regulatory disclosures and Treating Customers Fairly principles.
• Monitor client events such as maturities, cancellations or surrenders and act accordingly.
• Document and report contacts, appointments, issued business and revenue against targets on a weekly/monthly basis.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification and successful completion of the FAIS “Fit and Proper” regulatory examination.
• Registration with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) for at least 24 months.
• Proven ability to meet revenue generation, activity quotas and marketing targets.
• Strong networking, prospecting and lead generation capabilities.
• Experience in client consultations, financial needs analysis and portfolio reviews.
• Commitment to ethical conduct, customer fairness and continuous professional development.
