Financial Adviser – Northern Cape

About the role

Sanlam Life Ltd is seeking a Financial Adviser to serve clients in the Northern Cape. You will provide professional financial advice, planning and product solutions, building lasting relationships while meeting business targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional financial advice, planning and product sales to new and existing clients, ensuring solutions match their needs.
• Generate sustainable business by meeting revenue targets, activity quotas and promoting the Sanlam brand while treating customers fairly.
• Network, prospect and generate leads through face‑to‑face interactions, social media and referrals, focusing on middle‑high and affluent markets.
• Conduct comprehensive fact‑finding, financial needs analysis and present balanced portfolio solutions, complying with disclosure and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain ethical, courteous client service, follow‑up queries promptly and build long‑term relationships.
• Document and report contacts, appointments, issued business and update client records on a weekly/monthly basis.

Required profile

• Completed Grade 12 and meet FAIS “Fit and Proper” requirements, with at least 24 months registration with the FSCA.
• Proven ability to achieve production targets, manage budgets and adhere to compliance and risk standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of independent contribution and persuasive client engagement.
• Resilient, results‑driven and innovative mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS) and FSCA regulations.
• Ability to use financial planning e‑tools and systems for needs analysis and portfolio review.
