Financial Accountant – Finance Department

About the role

neXgro is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its Finance department. The role involves full‑function accounting across multiple entities within an Agtech group that provides grain‑related services nationwide.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit statutory returns, including VAT, and manage SARS queries.
• Maintain compliance with CIPC and Statistics South Africa reporting requirements.
• Produce Actual vs Budget reports and calculate interest on inter‑company and external loans.
• Administer market call accounts, diesel inventory records, and gross margin calculations.
• Process inter‑company charges, expense recoveries, fleet and insurance allocations, and manage inter‑company payments.
• Perform month‑end close, trial balance reporting, creditor payments, and employee expense claims.

Required profile

• BCom degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, including VAT and SARS compliance.
• Experience with financial reporting, month‑end processes and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and excellent communication in English and Afrikaans.
