Finance Graduate Internship – Logistics & Transport

About the role

If you’re a finance graduate with big dreams and a desire to make an impact, this internship offers hands‑on experience in financial operations within a leading logistics and transport environment. You will work directly with data, people and processes that keep supply chains moving across South Africa and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and reviewing monthly financial reports using tools such as Oracle.
• Verify completeness and accuracy of financial data and raise relevant journal entries.
• Monitor revenue streams, ensure timely client billing and support debt collection with Shared Services.
• Support budgeting and cost analysis to drive efficient and profitable operations.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and DHL internal policies.
• Link financial data with operational information to provide deeper insights.
• Participate in project and vendor management and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Matric Certificate and a BCom degree in Finance or Accounting.
• CIMA qualification or currently studying towards one.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to work with data.
• Interest in financial analysis, budgeting and operations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Oracle (financial reporting tool).
• CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualification.
