Finance Graduate – Cape Town

About the role

Cape Foods is seeking a motivated Finance Graduate to join its finance team in Montague Gardens, Cape Town. This position offers hands‑on experience across financial accounting, reconciliations, reporting, inventory, budgeting and operational finance within an FMCG manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with bookkeeping, month‑end accounting activities and preparation of audit files.
• Capture accounts‑payable invoices in Traild and maintain customer and supplier accounts in Syspro ERP.
• Perform retailer, rebate, CHEP, pallet, crate and warehouse reconciliations.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and support physical asset verification.
• Prepare daily sales, stock and weekly sales reports, and assist with OEE reporting.
• Support cash‑flow reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Process and reconcile related‑party transactions and assist with inventory counts.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or Financial Management.
• Recent graduate or final‑year student.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently, as part of a team and meet deadlines under pressure.
