Debtors & Creditors Clerk – Salt River, Cape Town

About the role

We are recruiting an experienced Debtors & Creditors Clerk to join a well‑established organisation in Salt River, Cape Town. The role requires experience in the meat, food processing, cold storage or FMCG sectors and a strong understanding of financial administration in a fast‑paced operational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily debtors and creditors administration, processing invoices, payments and receipts.
• Reconcile customer and supplier accounts and handle account queries and statement reconciliations.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform general accounting duties and assist with month‑end accounting processes.
• Liaise with internal departments, customers and suppliers as required.

Required profile

• 4–5 years’ experience as a Debtors & Creditors Clerk or Accounting Clerk.
• Previous experience in meat, food processing, cold storage, FMCG or a related industry.
• Accounting qualification.
• Ability to work independently, meet strict deadlines and operate in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Sage Pastel (experience advantageous).

What we offer

• Salary of R18,000 per month.
