Cost & Management Accountant – Manufacturing Finance

About the role

We are seeking a Cost & Management Accountant to join the finance team of a leading textile manufacturer in the KwaZulu‑Natal Midlands. The role focuses on cost control, financial accuracy and supporting operational efficiency within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end processing and reconciliations.
• Perform cost analysis, reporting and variance investigations.
• Manage inventory control, coordinate cycle counts and month‑end stock counts.
• Set up and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Identify and support cost‑saving initiatives.
• Apply activity‑based costing and work‑in‑process (WIP) accounting.
• Provide broader financial and accounting support across the organisation.

Required profile

• BCom in Cost & Management Accounting, Financial Accounting or a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing costing.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as Sage X3, Syspro or Pastel.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex functions.
