Control Room Officer – Burgersfort

About the role

The Control Room Officer will act as the central point of communication for logistics operations in Burgersfort, ensuring smooth coordination between internal teams, external stakeholders and customers. You will monitor real‑time data, manage radio communications and uphold all standard operating procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Inform customers of team arrivals via telephone or email and advise on delivery/collection ETAs.
• Communicate relevant information to the Team Controller: Logistics following SOPs and radio procedures.
• Verify that control‑room equipment and software are functional; report faults promptly.
• Record all client calls in the call‑log register.
• Liaise with the Risk Department, report incidents, and maintain panic‑activation records.
• Monitor route execution, report deviations, adjust geo‑fences and ensure SLA compliance.
• Update live client turnaround times and recommend process improvements.
• Support ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and ESG reporting.
• Promote departmental values, lead change initiatives and facilitate training sessions.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a control‑room or call‑centre environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.
• Willingness to work onsite in a shift‑based environment.
