End Controller – Store Operations (External Applications)

About the role

The End Controller ensures that all stock and fixed assets leaving the store are properly documented and that customer returns are accurately recorded. This position is critical for maintaining inventory integrity and safeguarding store assets.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and record documentation for all outgoing stock and fixed assets.
• Capture correct date, time, sequence, and signatures on all exit documents.
• Log customer returns in the End Controller book and obtain necessary authorisations.
• Maintain shift coverage, including lunch and tea breaks, and ensure a backup employee is available.
• Sign the End Control keys IN/OUT daily and keep all exit/entry doors closed when not in use.
• Ensure loading and off‑loading shutter doors remain closed when idle.
• Report suspicious behaviour or vehicles to management.
• Conduct random employee searches when leaving the store.
• Provide fast, friendly service to customers during check‑in and check‑out of goods.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• At least 1 year of related work experience (or 2 years without Grade 12).
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language.
• Strong numeracy and attention‑to‑detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, including shifts, weekends and public holidays.
