Compliance Manager – Regulatory Risk & Monitoring

About the role

The Compliance Manager will develop, implement, monitor and maintain the bank's compliance risk management framework, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies and ethical standards. The role provides independent oversight and guidance to minimise regulatory, legal and reputational risk while fostering a strong compliance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on compliance KRIs, maintain a legislative risk matrix and keep senior management informed of regulatory changes.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive Compliance Risk Management Plans (CRMPs) for high‑risk legislation and support internal control design.
• Design and run a risk‑based second line of defence compliance monitoring program across business units and strategic partners.
• Conduct theme‑based compliance reviews, due‑diligence exercises and sign‑off on new products and distribution channels.
• Analyse monitoring outputs, identify KRIs, track remediation actions and ensure proper record‑keeping.
• Approve advertising and marketing material, prepare training modules and provide regulatory guidance to business units.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Audit, Law or Risk Management.
• 3–5 years of regulatory compliance experience in the financial services sector, with exposure to GACP methodology.
• Strong knowledge of banking legislation, AML/CFT, regulatory monitoring, risk assessment and governance frameworks.
