About the role
Our client is seeking a Claims Audit Officer on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract in Pretoria. The role focuses on reviewing a backlog of claim files to establish their current status, verify data accuracy and identify any missing information or dependencies.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audits of backlog claim files.
- Determine the status of each claim and verify claimant and system information.
- Identify outstanding documentation, information gaps and any dependencies affecting claim processing.
- Recommend the appropriate next steps and route each file to the correct workstream based on audit findings.
- Maintain accurate audit records and support the continuous improvement of claim handling processes.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work methodically through large volumes of data.
- Experience in reviewing and validating claim information or similar financial records.
- Good analytical skills to assess dependencies and recommend appropriate handling.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to relevant teams.
