About the role

Our client is seeking a Claims Audit Officer on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract in Pretoria. The role focuses on reviewing a backlog of claim files to establish their current status, verify data accuracy and identify any missing information or dependencies.

Key responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive audits of backlog claim files.
Determine the status of each claim and verify claimant and system information.
Identify outstanding documentation, information gaps and any dependencies affecting claim processing.
Recommend the appropriate next steps and route each file to the correct workstream based on audit findings.
Maintain accurate audit records and support the continuous improvement of claim handling processes.

Required profile

Strong attention to detail and ability to work methodically through large volumes of data.
Experience in reviewing and validating claim information or similar financial records.
Good analytical skills to assess dependencies and recommend appropriate handling.
Ability to communicate findings clearly to relevant teams.
