Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef – Private Club

About the role

Kelvin Grove Club is seeking passionate culinary professionals to join its kitchen brigade as either a Chef de Partie or a Junior Sous Chef. You will work in a prestigious private club environment, delivering high‑quality dishes and supporting a collaborative, service‑driven culture.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present dishes to Kelvin Grove Club standards, ensuring consistent quality, taste and presentation.
• Complete mise‑en‑place efficiently, manage stock control, rotation and wastage, and monitor ingredient quality.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards, adhering to the “Clean As You Go” principle.
• Assist with menu planning, weekly specials and seasonal offerings.
• For Junior Sous Chef: supervise kitchen operations, work the pass, train and mentor junior team members, and assume responsibility in the absence of the Head or Sous Chef.

Required profile

• Minimum 2‑3 years of experience in a similar kitchen role.
• Professional cookery qualification or equivalent formal training.
• Strong attention to detail, presentation skills and a passion for culinary excellence.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure with strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Positive attitude, reliability, accountability and willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
