Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor (Emanguzi)

About the role

Sanlam Developing Markets is seeking a Branch Consultant/Financial Advisor to promote Sanlam Retail Mass products and grow market share in Emanguzi. The role involves providing sound financial advice, delivering high‑level client service in a branch setting, and creating cross‑selling opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Sales delivery – develop deep knowledge of SRM product ranges, assess client needs, recommend suitable solutions, submit new business, and conduct due‑diligence on clients.
• In‑branch client service & retention – manage client profiles, send payment reminders, handle NTUs, ensure payment persistency, process policy changes, and resolve client queries or escalate as needed.
• Quality, compliance & continuous development – stay up‑to‑date with compliance standards, maintain registration and CPD points, flag risks or fraudulent activity, keep accurate advice records, and log activities per regulations.
• Monthly planning & reporting – report daily activities via technology platforms, collate data for weekly and monthly reports, and support the Retail Branch Manager with ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• RE5 qualification (advantageous).
• FAIS compliance as required by DOFA.
• Commitment to complete Class of Business training within 12 months of employment.
