Banqueting Waiter

About the role

The Capital Hotels is looking for a Banqueting Waiter to join its dynamic hospitality team. You will be responsible for delivering friendly, fast, and efficient food and beverage service in conference and function areas, helping to maintain the high standards of guest experience the brand is known for.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests during conferences, banquets and other functions.
• Set up and break down function areas, ensuring all tables, chairs and equipment are arranged correctly.
• Manage front‑of‑house activities, including greeting guests and handling service requests.
• Maintain stock levels of service items and report any shortages.

Required profile

• Matric qualification with a Hospitality qualification or equivalent.
• 1–2 years experience as a Banqueting Waiter or in a similar role.
• Hands‑on problem‑solving ability and calmness under pressure.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Honest, trustworthy, detail‑oriented and presentable.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
• Willingness to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
