Food & Beverage Supervisor

About the role

The Capital Hotels is seeking a motivated Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead daily operations across its restaurant, bar, room service, and conference/function areas. Reporting to the F&B Manager, you will ensure high‑quality service and a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the restaurant, bars, room service, and event catering.
• Act as the second‑in‑command to the F&B Manager and take full charge of operations in their absence.
• Oversee front‑of‑house service, ensuring standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
• Manage staff schedules, training, and performance to maintain a motivated team.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly while maintaining composure under pressure.

Required profile

• Matric qualification with a Hospitality qualification or equivalent.
• 1–2 years proven supervisory experience in food and beverage.
• Hands‑on problem‑solving approach and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Professional appearance, honesty, attention to detail, and a proactive, team‑player mindset.
• Leadership and interpersonal skills to guide and motivate staff.
