Automotive Diagnostic Mechanic – Remote (South Africa)

About the role

This remote position is for an experienced automotive mechanic who will diagnose vehicle issues and prepare accurate repair estimates for clients in South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in‑depth diagnostics of mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle systems.
• Identify required repairs and maintenance tasks and prepare detailed technical estimates.
• Interpret vehicle manuals, technical specifications and repair guides for a wide range of makes and models.
• Communicate findings and estimates clearly to clients and workshop teams.
• Ensure all diagnostic processes meet quality and safety standards.

Required profile

• Qualified automotive technician or equivalent practical experience.
• At least three years of experience diagnosing vehicle faults in workshops or service centres.
• Proven ability to work with multiple vehicle brands and models.
• Strong attention to detail and organized problem‑solving approach.
• Honesty, responsibility and teamwork orientation.
