Washing and Sorting Operator

About the role

You will operate and maintain washing and sorting equipment in a manufacturing environment, ensuring that production runs safely, efficiently, and meets strict quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set‑up, start‑up and shut‑down machines according to SOPs.
• Document production details, product issues and machine problems in real time.
• Adjust machine settings to achieve required quality standards and target output.
• Monitor and clear conveyor lines, report any jams or breakdowns immediately.
• Conduct visual and computer‑based quality inspections as defined in the Quality Plan.
• Maintain production sheets for traceability and perform first‑line maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Report any quality, safety or environmental risks to the shift supervisor.
• Follow all Quality, Food Safety, Environmental and Health & Safety procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of technical experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in plastic recycling, the plastics industry or food packaging.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Strong awareness of quality, food safety, environmental and health‑and‑safety standards.
