Factory Manager – Shopfitting

About the role

We are a leading luxury bespoke shopfitting and retail display manufacturer seeking an experienced Factory Manager to oversee our Ballito production facility. You will direct multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver premium fixtures and installations for top South African retail brands.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the manufacturing plant.
• Lead and develop production teams across carpentry, spray painting, CNC, assembly and finishing.
• Plan production schedules, allocate labour and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost productivity and reduce waste.
• Monitor factory performance through KPIs and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, servicing and operational efficiencies.
• Collaborate with Design, Procurement and Project Management to ensure seamless execution.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and factory organisation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a manufacturing or production facility.
• Background in shopfitting, cabinetry, joinery, furniture manufacturing or related sectors is highly advantageous.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Excellent planning, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
