Warehouse Pharmacist Assistant – Pharmaceutical (Midrand)

About the role

The Warehouse Pharmacist Assistant supports the pharmaceutical supply chain by receiving, storing and distributing medicines in compliance with South African Pharmacy Council standards and Good Warehouse Practices.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and log incoming medical and pharmaceutical stock, recording batch numbers and expiry dates.
• Monitor and maintain environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity.
• Pick, pack and verify pharmaceutical orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct regular cycle counts, manage stock rotation using FEFO principles, and report inventory variances.
• Maintain regulatory compliance with SAPC, GWP, FSCC 22000, and health & safety policies.
• Perform warehouse quality checks, assist with customer complaints and daily housekeeping.
• Manage controlled scheduled medicines according to legal requirements and support quarterly regulatory inspections.
• Report safety hazards, equipment incidents and adhere to PPE and dress code standards.
