Warehouse Operator – Loose Case & Layer Picking

About the role

Econo Foods, a fast‑growing FMCG retailer specializing in frozen foods, is seeking a Warehouse Operator focused on loose case and layer picking. The role involves accurately selecting, packing and counting products according to picking instructions to ensure efficient order fulfillment and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct loose case and layer picking by accurately selecting required items based on instructions.
• Pack picked items securely, using appropriate packaging materials and labeling.
• Maximise pallet stability during picking, considering in‑transit conditions.
• Count and verify items to ensure order accuracy and completeness.
• Identify out‑of‑stock or short‑picked items during the process.
• Use picking equipment to navigate the warehouse efficiently.
• Collaborate with inventory control to maintain accurate records and report discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, organised work area to promote efficiency.
• Communicate product or packaging concerns to relevant personnel.
• Participate in training to enhance picking skills and stay updated on procedures.
• Follow SOPs, safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
