Warehouse Manager – Logistics Operations

About the role

The Warehouse Manager will lead all activities within the distribution centre, ensuring smooth receipt, processing, dispatch and delivery of stock to stores. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role also carries responsibility for budgeting, staff performance and cost control across the warehouse function.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing and dispatch to ensure efficient stock flow and meet cut‑off times.
• Manage a team of approximately 120 staff, planning schedules, handling grievances, training needs and ensuring productivity within budget.
• Control warehouse expenses, monitor packing and transport costs, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Maintain fleet roadworthiness, negotiate with external transport providers and optimise delivery routes.
• Supervise procurement of store supplies such as tags, stationery and uniforms and ensure proper distribution.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• 5–10 years’ experience in a similar logistics or warehouse management role.
• Experience in clothing retail is advantageous.
• Valid Code 08 driver’s licence (unendorsed).
