Transport Control Administrator

About the role

To mitigate company risk by executing route assignments through daily dispatching and debriefing of drivers and vehicles. Coordinate the dispatch process per route and physically debrief each route to support increased customer service and improve business efficiencies.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and monitor daily system route allocations, ensuring vehicles are dispatched according to agreed processes.
• Issue all relevant documentation and equipment to drivers, including keys, fuel cards, thermometers and navigational tools.
• Check company resources against the Daily Vehicle Checklist before vehicles leave the depot.
• Monitor real‑time fuel consumption, speeding, braking and other performance exceptions, and record any route deviations.
• Debrief drivers on return, resolve and record exceptions, walk vehicles for damage, and collect all issued items.
• Take ownership of tasks, plan and prioritize work, and communicate any risks or missed deadlines to relevant parties.

Required profile

• MatricValid Code EB drivers’ licence.
• Minimum of 2‑3 years’ experience in an administration/transport environment, preferably within FMCG.
• SAP experience would be an advantage.
