Senior Sourcing Manager (Procurement)

About the role

WNS Global Services, a global Business Process Management provider with a strong presence in South Africa, is hiring a Senior Sourcing Manager in Cape Town. The role executes complex sourcing projects end to end, from validating client requests and analysing bid requirements to preparing packages for suppliers, following up on bids and summarising proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Validate sourcing requests against client guidelines, analyse bid package requirements and communicate with client requesters to close data gaps
• Prepare and publish packages to suppliers, follow up on participation and summarise proposals back to the requestor
• Act as escalation point between team and client, resolve operational issues and ensure client engagement meets contract requirements
• Provide leadership on strategic projects and meet the client's program management team weekly to lead operations and process improvement discussions
• Document client-specific processes and exceptions in category strategy and intellectual capital
• Deliver sourcing services (RFP, RFI, FRQ) to clients, managing simple to complex projects at once
• Lead the sourcing process including RFx development, reverse auctions and data analysis, applying lotting, pricing and supplier communication principles
• Work with client Category Managers and SMEs, evaluate project scope and develop or customise RFx, pricing and proposal evaluation templates
• Analyse proposals, write summaries and present findings to the client, maintain project documentation and run peer reviews

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification
• 7 to 10 years of experience initiating, executing, evaluating and managing strategic sourcing activities
• Strong consultative skills, including change management, program management, business process improvement and sourcing methodology
• Mastery of client processes, terminology, political environment and systems across business groups
• Excellent written and verbal communication, project management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives at once, with program-level P&L experience
