Head of Storage

About the role

AnyVan, a logistics technology company with over 5 million customers in the UK and Europe, is looking for a commercial operator to join as Head of Storage in Cape Town. The role sits at the intersection of sales, service and operations: you own the storage P&L, the team and the systems that make it run, and you build a storage business that scales.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full funnel: revenue, conversion, margin and debt recovery for the storage business.
• Drive lead-to-booking conversion, set targets, and coach the team to hit them, including pricing trade-offs and pipeline health.
• Own service delivery: onboarding, redelivery, complaints, billing and collections, with owners, cadences, SLAs and escalation paths.
• Recruit, coach and structure a team of 10+ across sales and ops, and set the culture.
• Own the reporting hub and turn around dashboards yourself.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a combined sales-and-service operation with commercial ownership in a high-volume, phone-based, customer-facing role; UK customer experience is a bonus.
• Track record leading teams of 10+ across more than one function and coaching managers.
• Comfortable owning a P&L and making trade-offs, and able to rebuild a team or process from scratch.
• Passion for AI, with hands-on experience deploying AI tools.

Required skills

• Serious data fluency across CRM and support tools such as HubSpot, Zoho or Freshdesk.
• Understanding of conversion, pricing, margin and debt recovery.
